Do read eConsultancy’s Blog and the comments posted .. it’s an informed read and it will give you a good idea why there’s been such a negative backlash – just incase you’re in the ‘love’ camp!
Personally I think the overall sentiment and reaction to the ad has been a little extreme – the subject matter of the ad hardly warrants some of the comments we’re seeing on YouTube! But then it is a bit of a social media domino effect unfortunately…Everyone wants to play their part in the finger pointing and name and shame process. Granted it’s not the best execution of a message but it’s certainly got everyone talking and will definitely be memorable – maybe not for the right reasons I know, but by putting your hands up and sharing your learnings from the experience I’m sure PHD’s reputation as an agency will prevail. Come on people, we’ve seen a lot worse!
Onwards and upwards I say…
